REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer, JFNA & UIA 
The Jewish Federations of North America (“JFNA”) represents 147 Jewish Federations and over 300 Network communities, which raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually for social welfare, social services and educational needs. The Federation movement, collectively among the top 10 charities on the continent, protects and enhances the well-being of Jews worldwide through the values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (charity and social justice) and Torah (Jewish learning).
  • Provide full administrative support to the CFO and other professionals in the Finance and IT Departments 
  • Meeting management for the Financial, Technology, and Human Resource Professionals conference (known as “FTPI”), including but not limited to: arranging meetings for its Executive Committee, ensuring the Executive Committee is meeting its obligations to plan sessions, securing speakers and secure sponsorships, working with marketing to set up the website and app, ensuring all materials are submitted on time, tracking necessary CPE credit information, ensuring speakers have all of the appropriate logistical information and tracking information related to its budget
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Perform necessary administrative functions, including preparation of expense reports, ordering supplies, organizing and maintaining print materials and files
  • Organize materials for meetings, conferences, programs, and events
  • Handle mail merges, creation of spreadsheets, power point presentations and formatting of letters/documents
  • Handle check requests, reimbursements and expenses for the department
  • Manage and update committee lists and mailing lists/databases
  • Provide quality customer service both internally and externally
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • 3-5 years administrative experience
  • Excellent administrative, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is a must  
  • Proficiency with Concur is a plus
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information
  • Flexibility and attention to detail; proactive approach to work product, commitment to continuous improvement
  • An ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
  • Work well in a team environment  
  • Ability to multi-task
