What You’ll Love About Tulsa:
Tulsa is a beautiful city on the banks of the Arkansas River, at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in northeast Oklahoma, in the region known as Green Country. The area population of approximately one million people is diverse, vibrant, warm and welcoming.

You’ll find the food, culture and entertainment of a big city within a smaller, affordable one (well below the national average) and friendly geography. Between the greenspaces of major developed parks, to professional sports and college athletics; Tulsa has incredible music venues and theater offering ballet, opera, a local symphony orchestra, Broadway road shows and local and traveling music groups. Tulsa truly is a great place to live!

Enjoy reviewing the list of lifestyle activities you and your family will love, including our award winning 100 acre urban park!

Our Vibrant Jewish Community:
The Jewish Federation of Tulsa, in our 82nd year, serves as the cornerstone for Jewish culture and life in Tulsa. Our Jewish community comprises approximately 1800 individuals, engaging all Jews from Northeastern Oklahoma. On our beautiful 22 acre Jewish Federation of Tulsa campus, you’ll find the Charles Schusterman Jewish Community Center, the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art, Zarrow Pointe Retirement Center and the Mizel Jewish Community Day School. In the buildings, you may hear the familiar sound of Yiddish and Israeli folk songs and quite possibly smell a hot corned beef on rye! Our Jewish community is well known for major philanthropic giving, to the Federation as well as wider major city efforts.

To learn of our Jewish community’s rich history, enjoy the Emmy award winning “L’Dor V’Dor” video, produced by the Tulsa Historical Society and Museum. Search for “L’Dor V’Dor” Tulsa on Youtube.com.

Our Federation connects Jewish life in Tulsa with our three congregations; Reform, Conservative and Chabad. The Federation serves as the community relations voice to the general city of Tulsa.
