Community Program Coordinator - Greater MetroWest NJ

Reports to:    Coordinator of Greater MetroWest CARES
Part Time:     15 hours per week
 

JOB SUMMARY:
Implement and coordinate Federation’s work pursuant to an Expanded Critical Supports Grant from Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA).  Convene a leadership council, made up of community professionals and volunteers, that will develop strategies to provide emergency support services for Holocaust survivors, other older adults with a history of trauma and family caregivers of these two cohorts of older adults.  Oversee all aspects of work under the grant, including the work of Federation’s subgrantees.  Draft and submit required updates/reports.  Interact with JFNA, subgrantees and other community partners.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Convene leadership council to plan and facilitate the project
  • Oversee implementation of the program
  • Establish productive relationships with subgrantees and keep in close contact with them to stay abreast of progress
  • Keep all required records and coordinate with participating partners to obtain necessary information
  • Keep track of deadlines and submit all required grant reports on time
  • Participate in national training opportunities (may require occasional out of town travel but only once permitted in accordance with Covid safety guidelines)
  • Publicize program
  • Develop procedures for requesting funds and tracking use of funds
  • Oversee collection of data regarding impact of services provided

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to interact successfully with funders, partner agencies and other community members
  • Budgeting skills and proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to facilitate effective meetings and promote collaboration
  • Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping skills
  • Knowledge of Federation’s local partners a plus
  • Knowledge of other community agencies serving older adults a plus
  • Familiarity with the needs of Holocaust survivors or other older adults with a history of trauma and person-centered, trauma-informed care a plus
