Israel Advocacy

Israel today faces an intensive and increasingly sophisticated assault on its right to exist as a sovereign, democratic Jewish state. On college campuses and within professional and academic associations, in global politics and throughout local communities, instances of delegitimization targeting Israel continue to arise. Sophisticated tactics such as those employed by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement are increasingly used to spread these anti-Israel messages.

In response, the Israel Action Network (IAN), a strategic initiative of JFNA in partnership with the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, educates, organizes and mobilizes the North American Jewish community to counter these acts of delegitimization and to positively shape and lead the conversation about Israel.

A HUB OF INFORMATION

The Israel Action Network is the go-to source for the latest information, effective messaging, strategies and best practices to counter assaults on Israel’s legitimacy and to undertake affirmative, forward-looking initiatives.

A NETWORK OF DEFENSE

IAN draws upon the collective ability of North America's Jewish Federations and hundreds of small non-federated communities, along with JCPA’s national member agencies and local community relations committees/councils. IAN empowers communities to reach out to Jewish and non-Jewish audiences that are vulnerable to delegitimization messaging and effectively advocate on behalf of Israel.
